How to remove a password from a PDF

Choose the protected PDF. The tool checks what kind of protection it has.
Choose what to remove: Restrictions only if the file opens but blocks printing or copying (no password needed), or Opening password if it asks for a password to open, then type it.
Select Unlock PDF and download the unprotected copy.

Can I remove restrictions without a password?

Yes. If the PDF opens normally but will not let you print, copy or edit, choose Restrictions only. No password is needed.

Can this find a forgotten password?

No. For a PDF that needs a password to open, you must know the password. This tool does not guess or crack passwords.

Will the text and pages stay the same?

Yes. The pages are copied into a new file. Form fields and bookmarks may not be kept.

Is my password or file sent anywhere?
